     Battery Operated Toothbrush
Each morning and evening we stand staring in the bathroom mirror while we brush our teeth. Some of us have a battery operated toothbrush, while the majority of us are saddled with the cheap manual brush from Target. Battery power, however, is gaining popularity and it won’t be long until a high percentage of us are literally, powering the plaque from our teeth. Electric toothbrushes have excellent cleaning power and most do a better job of cleaning than a manual brush. Many will argue that the extent of cleaning depends greatly on the brusher – the person scrubbing his or her teeth. This of course is true, nevertheless if the brush is not of good quality and lacks any kind strength, it won’t matter if the brusher brushes his or her teeth until the cows come home, their teeth won’t be clean –there always be plaque that remains. Braun’s, battery operated toothbrush, the Oral B 1010 Crossaction Power toothbrush is designed and made to get into those hard to get at areas in your mouth – that single tooth way in the back off your mouth that a normal manual brush can’t reach. The Oral 1010 gets in the back and chases away the nastiness from your mouth. Its spinning brush head massages your gums, keeping them strong and healthy. The length and design of the neck are the reason for its ability to brush those hard to reach teeth and this has made the Oral B 1010 a popular battery operated toothbrush to buy. It retails between $4 and $7. Reviews have been mixed with most stating that the brush works extremely well. There was one negative comment. The reviewer found, after a few weeks of use, mildew had formed under the brush head. He or she complained to Oral B and was waiting a reply. Like any tool, taking care of it when not in use, is important. It is therefore quite possible that the reviewer, who stated mildew had formed on the brush head, had not kept the brush in a clean, dry place when he or she was not using it. Mildew needs damp conditions to form. Another battery operated toothbrush is the Arm and Hammer, “Spinbrush Kids”. This brush was designed with kids in mind. Kids enjoying the chore of brushing their teeth are what the manufacturers wanted and the Spinbrush Kids brush keeps kids scrubbing their pearly whites. They are also able to collect stickers that come with the article. The battery operated toothbrush, is indeed a worthy investment.
